She sits in one room in winter
I suppose it’s an excellent wheeze
Silly to heat up the kitchen
On frosty old days like these.

By wrapping herself in a duvet
The fire can be kept really low
It’s clean and very convenient
As most gas customers know

His driver picks him up at seven
They’re off to the A.G.M
Shareholders turn out in numbers
(They think he’s reporting to them)






And on to the motorway pit stop
A rather large gas tank to fill
On him, it’s lost, the travelling cost
Is twice her annual bill.
